CANCELLED: TCEQ Sunset Review Town Hall Meeting – September 23, 2010

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are postponing the TCEQ Sunset Review Town Hall Meeting that was scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 23rd.

We hope to reschedule this meeting for sometime later this fall. In the meantime, GEAA staff and others are working to assemble a list of recommendations for TCEQ reforms concerning water issues. Hays County Commissioners Court Votes to Purchase Land to Protect Jacob’s Well

Congratulations to GEAA member group Wimberley Valley Watershed Association. The plan to secure this area to protect the springs has been at least five years in the making.

The Hays County Commissioners Court voted on Tuesday to approve $1.7 million to purchase 50 acres of land that had been slated for high density development directly adjacent to Jacob’s Well.
