SUMMARY:The Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance presents: Addressing Resiliency for San Antonio’s most vulnerable communities: Flooding, Heat Islands, and Air Quality
DESCRIPTION:The event is free to attend but registration is appreciated. Please let us know if you plan to attend by registering at the signup form below.\nIn a city defined by its diverse cultural heritage, DreamWeek bridges the gap between people and ideas with a week of community events.\nThe Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance is excited to join DreamWeek LLC in their mission to celebrate our humanity by creating environments for civil and civic engagement to embrace ideas and dreams for the common good.\nGEAA will be hosting a panel discussion on addressing resiliency for San Antonio’s most vulnerable communities for predicted impacts of climate change, including flooding, heat islands, and air quality. \nPanelists will include City of San Antonio and Bexar County staff and elected officials, neighborhood and advocacy groups. We hope to focus attention on how San Antonio and Bexar County are planning to address the impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities, to discuss how best to do so, and whether enough is being done.\nSan Antonio will be faced with tough decisions on how to ensure adequate allocation of resources to mitigate the impacts of climate change.  Join us for a robust discussion of how we might take care of San Antonio’s most vulnerable communities and populations.\nLOCATION:\nAlamo Community Colleges District Headquarters2222 N.
