New Drought Restrictions On The Way

Trustees of the San Antonio Water System on Tuesday approved a measure asking the City Council to toughen the city’s drought rules, making restrictions on lawn watering kick in earlier.

The proposed rules would mean once-a-week lawn watering would start when the Edwards Aquifer level falls to 660 feet above sea level in San Antonio instead of the 650 feet level now in city ordinance.

This is an excerpt from a recent San Antonio Express-News article.
