Film Screening HEB Presents: Our Texas Our Future

The Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance is inviting you to gather with us for a very special screening of the new HEB Presents: Our Texas, Our Future Film series, a five-part original documentary celebrating Texas’ beautiful State Parks, resilient wildlife, and the Texans helping conserve and protect them.

Come celebrate “Bat Week” – an international celebration of the role bats play in nature – with a segment of the film, “Batsies” that focuses on saving Texas’s bat population. 

The film also features a segment titled “A Century Celebration: Texas State Parks”.  With just six acres in 1923 and now growing to 1.5 million acres in 2023, we have much to celebrate.  However, the current supply of state parks can’t keep up with demand of our growing population. Here’s the good news, there’s something you can do!  We have an opportunity to vote on November 7th to support a Constitutional Amendment to create even MORE state parks for future generations. If passed, the Centennial Parks Conservation Fund will provide $1 BILLION dollars to help secure new parks for future generations to explore and enjoy without increasing taxes!   Help us spread the word to VOTE YES ON PROPOSITION 14 TO GROW TEXAS PARKS.  Early voting begins on October 23rd.
