Lennar’s failure to contain its stormwater runoff left its neighbors coping with mud all over their property and a fish pond filled with sediment.
In 2019, GEAA and Bulverde Neighborhood Alliance (BNA) filed a notice of intent to sue Lennar to get the company to comply with a 2016 agreement to avoid flooding its neighbors and protect a large cave on the property.
Lennar later agreed to a settlement that involved reducing its stormwater runoff. However, in December 2021, a consultant hired by BNA found that runoff has only increased since construction.
