May 9th Guajolote Ranch Public Meeting with TCEQ Re: Lennar Homes wastewater permit. A request that could result in one million gallons per day of treated wastewater making it’s way into the Edwards Aquifer.
In a recent press conference, residents of San Antonio, Grey Forest, and Helotes came together with GEAA’s Technical Director, Nathan Glavy, to discuss preparations for the May 9th public hearing that the TCEQ has granted. The hearing will give residents an opportunity to voice concerns over the harmful environmental impacts the Lennar Homes proposed Guajolote tract project could have on their community. May 9th Public Meeting re: TPDES Permit for Municipal Wastewater for the proposed Guajolote Ranch project.
A public meeting will take place May 9th at 7pm regarding the application and preliminary decision for the TPDES permit (permit no. WQ0016171001) for Municipal Wastewater for the proposed Guajolote Ranch development. The property is located in northwest Bexar County, just over 5 miles northwest of San Antonio in the Edwards Aquifer Contributing Zone, an area that catches rainwater and channels it downstream towards the sensitive land that recharges San Antonio’s drinking water. The meeting is an Informal Discussion Period where the public will be encouraged to ask questions of the applicant and TCEQ staff concerting permit application. You can read
