Trustees of the San Antonio Water System on Tuesday approved a measure asking the City Council to toughen the city’s drought rules, making restrictions on lawn watering kick in earlier.
The proposed rules would mean once-a-week lawn watering would start when the Edwards Aquifer level falls to 660 feet above sea level in San Antonio instead of the 650 feet level now in city ordinance.
